| Families are looking for ways to be together...to get outside and breath again. Boating is something you can do together, get a great sense of accomplishment and relax...or release some energy!

Our magazine is hosting Boating 101 for Women on Saturday January 24th at 3 p.m. at Huntsville's Boat Show at the Von Braun Center. It's not a class or a husband-bashing session. I'm a river rat...that's a human that would rather be in the river. Mainly, I tell stories about the mistakes I've made and the ways boating can bring families together. I leave the safety classes to the USCG Auxiliary and Power Squadron folks. That's where I went to get information...the river is where I got experience.
Women love to talk...so at Boating 101 for Women, ladies can ask me anything. Sometimes they just want to know more. Sometimes they're a seasoned boater and want to know what I would do. Mainly, it's a great way to have informal conversation about boats and our kids and what we do on the water.
Our Kids on the Water will be Sunday at 1pm...it's like a treasure hunt. But kids under 12 can learn the great ways boating can be fun...and find some cool FREE STUFF at the treasure hunt!
Best of all, ERWIN MARINE and Life on the Water Magazine will host an On-the-Water 101 for all attendees that would like to join us on the Tennessee River for hands-on instruction coming up in April.
The sessions are free...we just want to meet you and make boating more fun for everyone!
